Curricular Overview: Department of Information and Media Services
We consciously and intentionally do not introduce computer/information/media literacy in the Preschool or Family Center. Faculty in this division use classroom websites share with families 'life' in their classroom culture. Students have regularly scheduled visits to the library.
We consciously and intentionally do not introduce computer/media literacy in the Kindergarten, First or Second Grades. Students in these grade are introduced to information litracy through the library curriculum and have regularly scheduled visits to our library.
Computer/information/media literacy is taught formally beginning in Third Grade. Students meet in half-groups once during our seven-day cycle.

Computer/information/media literacy is taught as part of the Study Skills class in Fifth and Sixth Grades. Students meet with faculty from the Department of Information and Media Services (DIMS) once during our seven-day cycle. The skills in this class are taught and practiced around core curricular topics and projects.
In Seventh and Eighth Grades students meet with faculty from the Department of Information and Media Services (DIMS) once during our seven-day for a formal computer/inforation/media litracy class. The skills in this class are taught and practiced around core curricular topics and projects.

Upper School
In Ninth Grade students are required to take Study Skills and Computer Literacy, now a year-long seminar course. Click here to view the website for that class, in progress for the current school year.
As we move toward the International Bacalaurate Programme students in the Eleventh and Tweltfh grades with have the opportunity to take the IB course Information Technology in a Global Society.
